In Quest of Character Based Excellence​

The purpose of education, first and foremost, should be the character development.  We believe that one can develop a wholesome character as well as excellence in performance, but these have different inherent priorities.  This mission affects and is manifested in all aspects of Catiline, from our curriculum, environment design, teachers’ quality, etc.

Etiquette

"Di Zi Gui" (The Rules for Students) reminds us to be polite in daily life. For example, greet teachers and friends when students go to school, say "thank you" when you receive help. These behaviours exemplify the importance of "etiquette". 

Filial Piety

There is a saying, "filial piety is one of the virtues to be held above all else". To highlight the importance of filial piety, Catiline holds a special birthday party every month, to celebrate parents' hard work taking good care of their child.

We nurture the spirit of patriotism and being a good citizen in the children from young. From 2010, we lead our children to sing the National Anthem every week. And they participate in all kinds of social activities to learn to care for society.

We believe education and society are inseparable. Therefore, we arrange various activities such as visiting elderly homes, fire stations, post offices etc., which allows children to learn and care about society.​

Environmental Protection

In April, 2010 we started to promote "Green Day".  We serve vegetarian lunch and tea once a week. In 2011, we expanded "Green Day" to twice a week in order to promote a healthy eating habit to both teachers and students.
